Victoria A. White, 83, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011, in Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born February 24, 1928, in New Salem, a daughter of August and Felice Barbabella Bankey.
Mrs. White graduated from Uniontown High School and worked as a caregiver/nurses aid at the Washington Hospital for more than 30 years.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington Hospital Auxiliary and SEIU 1199P.
On May 7, 1947, she married George Frederick White, who died October 27, 1989.
Surviving are three sons, George F. White, Jr., of Port Orange, Florida, Gary Foster White of Washington and Gregory F. (Darlene) White of Jefferson Township; a brother, August Bankey of Wheeling, West Virginia; two sisters, Charolette Bankey of Wheeling and Jeanie Bankey of Claysville; 9 grandchildren, Laura, Gary, Gerald, Sampson, Brian, Gavin, Sharon, Tracey and Nichole; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Gerald F. White, and a daughter, Kathy Allene White.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, December 16th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
