(Herb) George Herbert Stein IV, 37, of Washington, died Monday, December 19, 2011, in the Washington County Health Center, following a lifelong illness.
He was born December 29, 1973, in Meyersdale, a son of George H. Stein and Vicki D. Brown Rush, both of Washington.
Mr. Stein graduated from Trinity High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh for two years.
At one time he worked at OSI Corporation, a utility call center, in the billing department.
Mr. Stein enjoyed his family and friends. His interests were spending time with his dog, hunting and fishing, and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, surviving are a sister, Kelli S. Stein, of Washington; two stepbrothers, Michael and Jeremy Ankrom, three step sisters, Amy L. West and Jana S. Iams, both of Washington, and Jennifer Santisteban, of Orlando, FL; his stepmother, Sherry Stein, stepfather, Gary W. Rush; and grandfather, Harry A. Rasel.
Deceased are his grandparents, Helena Rasel, Donald (Peanut) Brown, Doris J. Brown, George Herbert Stein and Beatrice (Bea) Stein.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 30, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., in West Washington United Methodist Church, with Rev. John Hoffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to West Washington United Methodist Church, 625 Fayette Street, Washington, PA 15301, or the National Kidney Foundation, 3109 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
