David Russell Wise, 59, of Amwell Township, died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 22, 2011, in Washington Hospital.
He was born September 24, 1952, in Washington, a son of Frances A. Prowitt Wise of Washington and the late Russell A. Wise.
Mr. Wise was a machinist for Mass Machine and formerly worked for Crile Machine and Jon D. Linn Machine Shop. He was a member of Grace Brethren Church, VFW Post 927, American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175, Independent Club of Washington and the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Wise was a big “Gunsmoke” fan and enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music and riding motorcycles, especially his Harley-Davidson.
On November 25, 1972, he married Sandra Meeks, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Matthew David (Belinda) Wise; a daughter, Heather (Daniel) Yocum; a brother, Darrell (Darlene) Wise; a sister, Darlene McKahan, all of Washington; and four grandchildren, Austin Matthew and Brianna Lynn Wise and Brandon and Ryan Yocum.
Deceased are a brother, Daniel Wise and a sister, Dianna Lynn Swihart.
Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28th, with Pastor Bob Kulp officiating. Burial will follow in Amity Cemetery.
