Daniel Joseph Frank, Sr.

Daniel Joseph Frank, Sr., 94, of Washington, died Thursday, January 4, 2012, in Washington County Health Center. He was born March 30, 1917, in Washington, a son of Giuseppe and Rose Donetille Franco. A World War II Army Veteran, Mr. Frank worked as a security guard at The Washington Hospital for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Frank was a member of Friendship Community Church. On July 18, 1940, he married Dorothy Salamone, who died April 4, 2001. Surviving are three grandchildren, Ron (Terri) Franks, Jeff Franks and Lisa (Jason) Rice; four great-grandchildren, R.J., Nathan (Alexis), Zackery and Jarred; and a daughter-in-law, Gerri Franks of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two sons, Daniel J. Frank, Jr. and Joseph L. Franks; a brother, Paul Frank; and two sisters, Grace Charmley and Ida Salamone. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
