Philomena Patricelli, 74, of Washington, died Sunday, January 15, 2012, in the Washington Hospital.
She was born November 20, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of Felice and Maria Domencia Testa Patricelli.
Ms. Patricelli graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and later earned an associate’s degree from Penn Commercial. She worked as a utility clerk at Pennsylvania American Water Company for 42 years.
Ms. Patricelli was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, where she was a lector and choir member, Washington Hospital Auxiliary, where she was a past president, and the Sons of Italy Lodge.
In addition to being an active volunteer at her church, she volunteered with the Blind Association, the Diabetes Center and Citizens Library.
She was a beloved “Aunt” to every child she met.
Ms. Patricelli is survived by aunts, cousins and all who loved her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 21st, in Immaculate Conception Church, with Father Michael Ruffalo as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Parish, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington, PA 15301.
