Donald H. Headley, resident of Chestnut Hill Apartments, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, in the Donnell House.
He was born on April 30, 1926, in Greene County, to the late Odie C. and Maxine Fox Headley.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and a past member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of AARP, NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees), and the American Postal Workers Union.
A graduate of Clairton High School, he also graduated from Penn Commercial College.
During World War II, he served in the Naval Amphibious Forces in the South Pacific Theater.
Mr. Headley worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years.
On December 14, 1946, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, he married Bernice Keeling, who survives.
Also surviving, are a son, Lawrence L. (Susan) Headley, of Greensburg; 4 grandchildren, Dana Michele Lindauer, of Sant Antonio, TX; Lauren Sellitti, of North Port, FL; Eric Headley, of Dothan, AL, and Stacey Martin, of Huntington Beach, CA; 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
