Lincoln R. Richards

Lincoln R. Richards, 59, of Washington, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Allegheny General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 25, 1952, a son of the late Lincoln R. Sr. and Flora J. Spatafore Richards. Mr. Richards graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School in 1970 and attended Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was employed by Trans Eastern Inspection, Reliance Electric, X Mark CDT, and most recently, Fyda Freightliner in Houston. Mr. Richards attended First United Methodist Church and Immaculate Conception Parish. He enjoyed working out, body building, riding horses, riding his Harley with his wife, but most importantly, spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and father. On July 12, 1975, he married Joyce A. Blumer, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Todd (Charity) Richards; a daughter, Ashley (Mike) Schuetz; and a grandson, Jaxon Richards. Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a granddaughter, Riley F. Richards. Friends will be received 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd. 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 30th, in North Ten Mile Baptist Church, Ridge Church Road, Amity, with Rev. Dr. Gary Schneider officiating. Mr. Richards will be buried in North Ten Mile Baptist Church Cemetery. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the church on Monday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Log Cabin Fence Relay for Life Team, 411 Ten Mile Road, Amity, PA 15311.
