Dorothy Louise Hill, 86, of Hickory, died Monday, January 30, 2012, in Washington County Health Center. She had been in declining health the past eight months.
She was born October 12, 1925, in Rea, a daughter of Loreto and Julia Zambon Dagnana.
Mrs. Hill was a graduate of Hickory High School and Penn Commercial. For 25 years, she worked as a clerk for Mellon Bank.
Mrs. Hill was a member of Hickory United Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon, elder and a member of the session. She enjoyed attending various church activities.
On September 4, 1947, she married Paul Huber Hill, who died February 23, 1998.
Surviving are a brother, Ralph (Felicia) Dagnana of Hickory; a grandson, Kevin Hill; daughter-in-law, Sandy; an uncle Albert Zambon; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Alan A. Hill; a sister, Virginia Cassidy; and an infant brother.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 2nd, with Rev. R. Douglas Reinard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt.
