Wilma Mae Ward

Wilma Mae Ward, 88, of Washington, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in Washington County Health Center. She was born September 20, 1923, in Washington, a daughter of Russell R. and Daisy M. Ankrom Ward. Ms. Ward was a graduate of Washington High School. She was employed at Wilson’s Awnings for many years and also worked as a self-employed drapery seamstress and upholsterer. Ms. Ward enjoyed watching television and sewing. Surviving are three nephews, Robert (Patricia) Ward, John Ward and Jimmy Ward; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Dr. Michael (Dr. Amanda) Ward, Jodi Ward, J.R. Ward, Heather Ward, Jenna Ward and Joey Ward. Deceased are a brother, Russell F. Ward; and a great-niece, Stacey Lynn Ward. Friends will be received from Noon to 2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, February 11th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
