Carole Mae Weiss

Carole Mae Weiss, 75, of Avella, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, in Washington Hospital. She was born August 16, 1936, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William E. and Mildred Kneiling Lewis. Mrs. Weiss was a homemaker who enjoyed league bowling, ceramics, bingo, gardening, and playing cards. She was a member of Taylorstown Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star, Taylorstown Fire Department Auxiliary and Taylorstown Legion Auxiliary. On May 29, 1953, she married George Edward Weiss, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Glenn Weiss, Gary (Joyce) Weiss, Michael (Judy) Weiss, Scott (Paula) Weiss, and Douglas (Laurie) Weiss; one daughter, Dianne (Jett) Sanner; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Bryan, Christopher, Danielle, Matthew, Nicole, Jared, Cassandra and Samantha; and a great grandchild, Levi. Deceased is a brother, William C. Lewis. Friends will be received Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 11th, with Pastor Pat Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
