Joseph Wise, 56, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 6, 2012, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born July 7, 1955, in Washington, a son of the late Barney M. and Ruth Alice Bopp Wise.
Mr. Wise was a 1975 graduate of Washington High School. For 15 years, he worked in security for Jessop Steel.
He loved tools, especially hammers, and enjoyed woodworking, cooking and spending time with family, especially the grandkids.
Mr. Wise was a member of Glenn Street Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Trudy A. Mansfield Wise; a son, John Wise (Lynn), of Mt. Washington; two daughters, Denise Wise (Victor) and Lori Waychoff (Jason), both of Washington; step-children, Heath DePaoli, Lance DePaoli (April), and Tina McFall (Robert), all of Washington; two brothers, John Wise Sr., (Patty) of Claysville and Robert G. Wise of Washington; a sister, Dorothy Milligan (William) of Washington; and 13 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Charles Wise; and a sister, Thelma Allum.
Friends will be received 2 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, March 8th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Robert Neal officiating.
