Alfred Adam Kavolak

Alfred Adam Kavolak, 82, of Washington, died Monday, April 2, 2012, in Washington County Health Center, following a brief illness. He was born November 29, 1929, in Washington, a son of Joseph and Angeline Boroski Kavolak. Mr. Kavolak served in the Army with the 82nd Airborne, spending two years in Italy. He was honorably discharged on May 26, 1949. Mr. Kavolak was employed by Brockway Glass for 36 years, retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of St. Hilary Church. On April 20, 1950, he married Mary Ellen Harris, who died April 11, 2005. Surviving are a son, David Bruce (Marlene) Kavolak of Washington; a sister, Virginia Lonski of Aliquippa; and a grandson, Zachary David Kavolak. Deceased are a daughter, Katherine Ann Kavolak; a sister, Jennie Lewis; and two brothers, Carl Kavolak and a brother who died in infancy. Friends will be received Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 4th, in St. Hilary Church, with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, 100 West Station Square Drive, # 1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
