Dr. Eugene Walker Skiffington, 48, of Washington, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born November 20, 1963, in Phoenixville, Chester County, son of Diane Kornblum Skiffington Dickson of Harrisburg, and the late Eugene W. Skiffington Jr.
Dr. Skiffington served in the Marine Corps before attending and graduating from Marshall School of Medicine. He was a family practice physician with Centerville Clinics and clinical director of Three Rivers Hospice.
A member of Community Band South, Dr. Skiffington had a great love for music. He was also a member of Sunset Lodge F&AM 623.
On May 26, 1990, he married Mary Elizabeth McConnell, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are two children, Deirdre Anne Skiffington and Liam Robert Skiffington; and two brothers, Michael Skiffington of Austin, Texas, and Jonathan Skiffington of Harrisburg.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 till 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30p.m., Thursday, April 19th, with Pastor Don Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, 1195 Jacks Run Road, North Versailles, PA 15137.
