Shirley Joan Rozner

Shirley Joan Rozner, 70, of Washington, died Sunday, April 15, 2012, in the Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born June 28, 1941, in Dunn Station, a daughter of Wayne and Dora Lulu Strawn Thomas. Mrs. Rozner was a homemaker and also a private duty caregiver. She enjoyed shopping, cats, and her family. Mrs. Rozner was Baptist by faith. On June 18, 1966, she married Benjamin Z. Rozner, who died February 2, 1999. Surviving are a son, David M. Rozner of Florida; two daughters, Shelly R. Robl (William) and Kristin Rozner (companion Tony Reese), both of Washington; a brother, Robert Thomas of Plumsock; three sisters, Nancy Bird of Claysville, and Judy White and Linda Jones, both of East Finley; four grandchildren, Shandell Robl, Christy Byrd, Angelica Byrd and David Michael Rozner; and two great-grandchildren, Kameron Byrd and Ryder Byrd. Deceased is a brother, Wayne Thomas. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing or services. William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington, is handling arrangements.
