Clara Margaret McKeag Pettit Barnhart, 72, of Washington, formerly of the Thomas Campbell Apartments, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born on December 16, 1939, in Washington, a daughter of the late Thomas McKeag Sr. and Irene Myers McKeag.
A 1957 graduate of Washington High School, she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Barnhart was formerly a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church, and more recently, a member of Friendship Community Church.
She enjoyed collecting bells, playing dart ball, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Her first husband, William Pettit, II, is deceased.
On September 27, 1997, she married Neil Harry Barnhart, who died on May 7, 2007.
Surviving are 2 sons, William Alton Pettit, III, of Washington, and Robert Thomas Pettit, of Pittsburgh, a daughter, Kimberly (Mike) Waychoff, of Washington, 6 grandchildren, Joshua Robert Pettit, Jay Pettit, Jeremy Pettit, Brandon Pettit, Jarrod Waychoff and Taylor Waychoff; and 2 great grandchildren, Clementine and Lily Pettit.
Deceased is a brother, Thomas McKeag, Jr.
Friends will be received on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 21, 2012, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.
