Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Murdoch, 75, of Washington, died on Monday, April 30, 2012, in UPMC, Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a very brief illness.
She was born on May 5, 1936, a daughter of Dominic and Theresa Brizzoli Lolli.
A graduate of Ambridge High School, she attended Avery United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Murdoch had worked as a counter clerk for Mike’s Packing Company for more than 40 years.
She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren, and had once belonged to a ladies bowling league.
On January 22, 1955, she married David K. Murdoch, III, who died on August 9, 1998.
Surviving are a son, David K. Murdoch, IV, of Washington, Cynthia L. (Robert) Miller, of Washington; a sister, Theresa (Ed) Rodgers, of Munhall; 2 grandchildren, Alys Marie Murdoch and Ian R. Miller; a nephew, Mark A. (Jennifer) Mihalic; and 3 great nephews, Hunter, Hayden and Gavin.
Friends will be received on Thursday, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 11;00 a.m., on Friday, May 4, 2012, with Rev. Ruth Simmons officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
