Lori Michele Rice Emph, 52, of Washington, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born April 24, 1960, in Washington, daughter of Phyllis E. Bianchi Rice Phillips and the late Clarence Rice, Jr.
Mrs. Emph was a 1978 graduate of Trinity High School and for the past 11 years worked as a special-needs aid at Trinity Middle School.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, William Emph; two sons, Michael and Matthew Emph, both of Virginia; two daughters, Megan Emph of Washington and Hope Emph of Virginia; a grandchild, Jaxyn Pemberton; three brothers, Scott W. (Alice) Rice of Canonsburg, and C. Donald Rice and Jason M. (Lisa) Rice, both of Washington; stepfather, Floyd Phillips; two nephews, Jarred Rice and Joseph Daughtery; and a niece, Melanie Daughtery.
Deceased, in addition to her father, are grandparents, Gordon and Corilla Mancina Richmond, and Clarence and Sadie Rice.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 4th, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow in North Buffalo Cemetery.
