Joseph Louis Gatewood, Jr.

Joseph Louis “June” Gatewood, Jr., 49, of Washington, died Friday, May 4, 2012, in his home. He was born May 3, 1963, in Mt. Pleasant, Westmoreland County, a son of Catherine Franks Gatewood, of Bentleyville, and the late Joseph Louis Gatewood. Mr. Gatewood worked at Oil States in Canonsburg, as a mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, fishing, and mechanical work. On December 24, 1992, he married Amy Eustis, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Coree Gatewood and Arin Gatewood, both of Washington; three brothers, Joseph Balko, of Washington, Michael Gatewood, of Canonsburg, and James Gatewood, of Duquesne, and a grandchild, Alinia Green. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
