Estelle Mae Berdine

Estelle Mae Berdine, 75, of Washington, died Friday, May 4, 2012, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center. She was born July 6, 1936, in Washington, daughter of the late David R. and Helen McFall Horne. Mrs. Berdine was employed at American Heating for 23 years, retiring as supervisor. She was Protestant by faith and greatly enjoyed her family. On January 19, 1953, she married Howard “Tubby” Berdine Sr., who died April 7, 2007. Surviving are two sons, Howard Berdine, Jr. and Henry Berdine; two daughters, Joyce (Curt) Taylor and Vicki (Matt) Simms, all of Washington; grandchildren, Jennifer Berdine, Rebecca Berdine, Nicole Taylor, Michelle Taylor, Brittany Simms and Randy Berdine, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren, Dominick Berdine, Faithe McCartney and Bentley Skirble. Deceased are a son, Randy Berdine Sr.; a daughter, Becky Berdine; and two brothers, Harry Horne and David Richard Horne. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 8th. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
