Thelma Hiller Rush, 86, of Washington, died on Monday, May 7, 2012, in her residence.
She was born on May 14, 1925, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Harold J. and Helen Porter Hiller.
A 1943 graduate of Waynesburg High School, she received her LPN from Greene County Vo Tech at age 54.
She retired from the Washington County Health Center, after working there for 11 years as a LPN.
She had previously been a beautician at Betty Fisher’s Shop.
Mrs. Rush was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. An active member at the Senior Citizen’s Center, she had formerly been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.
On February 5, 1944, she married Delmont F. Rush, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Vallie (John) Work, of Cranberry Township, a granddaughter, Shannon (Chad) Robertson, and 3 great grandchildren, Drew, Luke and Chloe Robertson.
Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA , where services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. John Hoffman officiating.
Burial will follow in Greene Memorial Park.
