Toni Rae Nicholls

View Video Tribute Toni Rae Nicholls, 55, of Washington, died Friday, May 18, 2012, in her home, following an 8-week illness. She was born January 28, 1957, in Washington, a daughter of Rudolph and Carol Horne Colteryahn. Mrs. Nicholls was a graduate of Canon-McMillen High School and was a cook at the Meadows Race Track and Casino since 2007. She was Christian by faith. Mrs. Nicholls loved animals, rescuing 8 cats and 2 dogs over the years. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, and being with family and friends. On October 3, 2009, she married Thomas H. Nicholls, who survives. Also surviving are a brother, Steve (Nancy) Colteryahn, of Delaware, and two sisters, Rhonda (John) Gardner-Herbert, of Pittsburgh, and Valerie (Ron) Rose, of Canonsburg; and three grandchildren, Hannah, Quinton, and Chloe Cook. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in William G Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
