Elaine T. Ross, 74, of Washington, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, in Donnell House.
She was born December 4, 1937, in Washington, daughter of James and Esther Kisner Thompson.
Mrs. Ross worked as a nurse at the Washington Hospital, retiring in 2000, and enjoyed the 40 years she worked as a nurse.
She was a member of Living Waters Church of God and Washington Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association.
Mrs. Ross enjoyed serving the Lord and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On June 3, 1961, she married Richard R. Ross, who survives. They were about to celebrate 51 years of marriage.
Also surviving are two sons, Barry (Lori) Ross of Washington and Brad (Jamie) Ross of Venetia; a daughter, Darlene (Michael) Skerbetz of Bentleyville; two brothers, Ronald (Mona) Thompson and Brian (Anne) Thompson; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Bailey, Shaelynn, Brianna, Katie, Kolten and Parker Ross, and Grace and Ross Skerbetz.
Deceased are a sister, Naomi, who died at birth; and two brothers, Richard “Clint” and Jerry Thompson.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 2nd, with Pastor Michael SIngo officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
