Edna Marie Logan, 77, of Washington, died Friday, June 15, 2012, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born February 24, 1935, in Canonsburg, daughter of Martin S. and Clarinda M. Patterson Burgess.
Mrs. Logan was a foster parent for over 40 years, fostering more than 300 children.
She enjoyed shopping and helping others, especially her family.
Mrs. Logan was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
On April 10, 1958, she married Thomas F. Logan, who died May 9, 2004.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas (Lisa) Logan of Washington, Doug Brown of Seattle, Washington, Wayne Logan of New Stanton and William Hull of Kentucky; two daughters, Alisha Belack of Pittsburgh and Shanta R. Key of Washington; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are brothers, Eugene, David, Norman and Ronald Burgess; sisters, Alice M. Williams, Agnes M. Burgess, Pearline Patterson, and Janice L. Gill.
Friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m., the time of service, Tuesday, June 19th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Kevin Ryan officiating.
