Mary Audia Funk, 85, of Washington, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, in her residence.
She was born July 13, 1927, in Washington, daughter of Benedito “Ben” and Rose Audia.
Mrs. Funk had been employed at Hazel-Atlas, Krency’s Baker, the Hospitality Shop at The Washington Hospital, and as a manicurist for Frank Urso.
She enjoyed music and dancing and was a member of Italian Sons and Daughters of America.
On May 17, 1947, she married David T. Funk, who died March 31, 2011.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Funk of Washington.
Deceased are brothers, Joseph and Ron Andy as well as four others who died in childhood; and two sisters, Nellie Andy Claycomb and Sara Andy Ventura.
Friends will be received 10 until 11 a.m. the time of service, Monday, July 30th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
