Alfred Lee Taylor, 71, of Washington, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, in his residence, following a three-year illness.
He was born February 11, 1941, in Footedale, Fayette County, son of the late Earl Andrew and Irene Violet Marks.
Mr. Taylor was a graduate of Allegheny High School and worked in road construction as a dump truck driver.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed watching westerns on television and going to the beach.
On August 24, 1966, he married Charlotte Rubrecht, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James Taylor (Kimberly) of Washington; two daughters, Amy Lemley (Roger) of Washington and Michelle Lee (Steven) of San Diego, California; and eight grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Earl Taylor; and sisters, Delores Petlevich, Clara Kiger, Nellie Waters, and Betty Taylor.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 3rd, in Immaculate Conception Church, with Father Nicholas Spirko as celebrant. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
