Eva Lou Clark (Higinbotham), 94, died on Friday, August 17, 2012, at Consulate Retirement Village of North Strabane. She was born on October 11, 1917, in Fayette County, a daughter of the late Nathanial E. and Grace Lynn Higinbotham. Mrs. Clark graduated from Trinity High School, and Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing. Following her nurse’s training, she worked as a registered nurse at hospitals and as an industrial nurse at Jessop Steel and Equitable Gas Company in Pittsburgh. During World War II, she served in the Army Nurse Corps. She loved travel and dancing, both ballroom and square dancing. Until the last 2 years, she was active at the Washington Senior Center. Surviving is a niece, Donna Young, of Bloomfield Hills, MI. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are 2 brothers, Ross and Dwight. At the request of the deceased, there will be no calling hours or services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 60 E. Maiden St., Washington, PA 15301.
