Rose A. Jones, 88, of Washington, died Monday, August 20, 2012, in the Washington Hospital, following a 14-month illness.
She was born January 15, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of Anthony Lekwart and Nellie Jastszemski Lekwart.
Mrs. Jones graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. A homemaker, she had worked at Tygart Valley Glass as a packer-inspector and was also a caregiver to many children over the years.
Mrs. Jones loved to take walks everyday and work in her flower garden, and most of all, she loved taking care of her family.
She was a member of St. Hilary Church.
In June 1951, she married Charles Russell Jones, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Evans-Donella (Richard Jr.) and Carol Tonsetic (John), both of Washington; two sisters, Helen McDonald (John) of Washington and Theresa Kania (Ed) of Canonsburg; and two grandchildren, David Tonsetic (Krystin) and Katherine Evans.
Deceased are two brothers, Walter and Edward Lekwart.
There will be no public viewing or services. Private burial will be held in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
