Patricia C. Headley, 76, of Washington, died Friday, August 24, 2012, in the Washington Hospital, due to complications resulting from a six-week battle with Clostridium Difficile (C-Diff).
She was born March 13, 1936, in Norristown, a daughter of Henry and Dorothy Bingaman Cressman.
Patricia graduated from Norristown High School and Temple Nursing School, where she earned her RN degree.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir.
Patricia was a volunteer nurse for the Health-O-Rama held at the Washington Mall, chairwoman for Washington Hospital’s Charity Ball, treasurer for Gym Dandys, and, since the 1960s, a member of the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club. In her younger years, she was a champion tennis player.
On July 20, 1957, she married the love of her life, Chauncey Roger Headley, who died November 6, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Roger Allen Headley (Catherine) of Doha, Qatar; two daughters, Linda Lee Headley of Washington and Stacey Lee Noem-Stanich (Ted) of Leesburg, Virginia; a sister, Constance Hamilton (John) of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Taylor Nadine Noem, Mark Ashton Headley, and Chauncey Elizabeth Headley.
Deceased is a brother, Warren Cressman.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, August 27th, in First Lutheran Church, with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiating. Entombment in Washington Cemetery will be private.
