Shirley J. Huggins

Shirley J. Huggins, 79, of Claysville, died Friday, August 24, 2012, in Donnell House, following a one-year illness. She was born May 1, 1933, in Washington, a daughter of Mildred Fordyce. Mrs. Huggins graduated from Claysville High School. She was a homemaker who loved to have family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren, at her house. She enjoyed playing bingo. On November 26, 1954, she married Robert D. Huggins, who died November 18, 2007. Surviving are two sons, Robert D. Huggins, Jr. and Barry D. Huggins; two daughters, Patti (Jim) Hemelrick and Pamela (Rick) McVeigh, all of Claysville; nine grandchildren, Robbie, Michael, Amber, Destiny, Stephanie, Christopher, Cody, Colton and Austin; and several great-grandchildren. Deceased is a sister, who died in infancy. At the request of the deceased, visitation and services were private. She was interred with her husband in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
