Linda Jane Reese

Linda Jane Reese, 63, of Washington, died Friday, September 7, 2012, in the Washington Hospital, following a one-year illness. She was born March 23, 1949, in Primrose, Washington County, a daughter of Bernice Horner Gilbert, of McDonald, and the late John Gilbert. Mrs. Gilbert graduated from Ft. Cherry High School. She was a homemaker and loved baking Christmas cookies, making crafts, and especially loved her dogs. On May 1, 1976, she married James Reese, who died August 21, 2007. Surviving are two sons, Richard J. Reese, of Washington, Bryan L. (Treena) Reese, of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Lisa Ann (Donald Wayne) Dunn, of Washington; a sister, Donna (Bob) Ralston, of McDonald; three grandchildren, Tasha, Christopher, and Nicholas; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Patty Thompson. Deceased are a brother, John G. Gilbert, and a sister, Lena Demnyan. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
