Saundra "Sonnie" Kay Sienkiel

Saundra “Sonnie” Sienkiel, 72, of Washington, died on Saturday, September 15, 2012, in the Washington County Health Center. She was born on July 9, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late Charles James and Evelyn Marie VanVoorhis Mowl. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking for family and friends, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and going out and about with her friend Steve. Most of all, she enjoyed sharing her heart and love with everyone she could. Mrs. Sienkel was a member of the Alpine Club. Surviving are a son, David (Avril) Puskavich, of Belle Vernon; 2 daughters, Amy (Douglas) Cook and Sheri (Greg) Rhodes, both of Washington; a brother, Charles (Cel) Mowl, Jr.; 2 sisters, Donna Mowl and Barbara (Herb) Hermann; 6 grandchildren, Natasha Puskavich Wray, Alana Puskavich, Joshua Bradford, Shaina Glendenning and Gregory and Dylan Rhodes; 2 great grandchildren, Jerrin and Lathyn Glendenning; a brother-in-law, Carl Rhodes and her friend, Steve Kouklakis. Deceased are her ex-husband, Edward Sienkiel and a sister, Mary Rhodes. Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 12 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
