Josephine M. Jeffers, 88, of Houston, died Friday, September 21, 2012, in UPMC, Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born December 30, 1923, in Washington, a daughter of George and Ada White Mull.
In 1942, she was a member of the first graduating class of the new school at Chartier’s Township High School.
She was a service aide at Mayview Hospital for thirteen years, at one time worked at Western Center, and during World War II was a welder at Dravo Works.
Mrs. Jeffers enjoyed camping with her grandchildren at Salt Fork State Park in Ohio.
On August 1, 1942, she married Milton F. Jeffers, Sr., who died October 29, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Milton F. Jeffers, Jr., of Houston; two sisters, Pansy Reck, of Houston, and Lily Warren, of Avis; four grandchildren, Jami Lynn Craig, and Scott M. Jeffers, Cody D. Jeffers, and Kelli Murphy; and six great grandchildren, Conner, Casey, Carson Craig, Kayla, Megan, and Jenna Murphy.
Deceased are four brothers, Edgar, Earl, Don, and Wray Mull; and a daughter-in-law, Janet L. Jeffers.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2012, with the Rev. Clarejean Haury officiating.
