Caroline Elizabeth Sickles, 83, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.
She was born June 10, 1929, in New Freeport, a daughter of the late Jeff and Nila Moore Burge.
Mrs. Sickles worked at Hill’s and Ames department stores for a total of 25 years and also worked at Wal-Mart as a greeter.
She enjoyed knitting and loved animals.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (Rosemary) Sickles of Washington and Charles (Bing) Sickles of Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Betty (Jim) Kuhns of Washington; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Hugh Burge; and three sisters, Olive Fonner, Onieta Leslie and Mavis Burge.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 29th.
