Willard Michael Hudak, 86, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012, in Townview Health and Rehabilitation, Canonsburg.
He was born October 9, 1925, in Manifold, a son of Michael J. and Elinor Rossi Hudak.
Mr. Hudak was a veteran of the Navy, serving from December 31, 1943, until his honorable discharge on August 10, 1946, as a Pharmacist’s Mate, second class. He was awarded the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.
Mr. Hudak enjoyed mechanics, working on cars, hunting, fishing and being active outdoors.
He worked for Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania in various positions, retiring as gang leader in June 1986.
On August 13, 1949, he married Frances Rea, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Willard Michael (Debbie) Hudak, Jr. of Eighty-Four; a daughter, Andrea (Dr. William K.) Miller of Media; two brothers, Harry Hudak and Richard Hudak, both of Florida; three sisters, Evelyn Bard of Texas, Joann Bristor of Amwell Township, and Diana Mihalovich of Houston; three grandchildren, Aaron Miller, Nicole Hudak and Natalie Hudak; and two great-grandchildren, Sam and Shane Miller.
Deceased are two sisters, Peggy Obras and Joyce Rutkosky.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 1st.
Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
