Peter Morris Bobick, 92, of Washington, formerly of Eighty-Four and Peters Township, died Sunday, September 30, 2012, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born April 17, 1920, in Pittsburgh, a son of Jonathan and Katherine Nagle Bobick.
Mr. Bobick graduated from Zelienople High School in 1938 and attended Center College in Kentucky for engineering.
During World War II and the Korean War, he was a test pilot in the Air Force.
Mr. Bobick was an entrepreneur, developing several businesses, including industrial testing.
Mr. Bobick was a member of Avery United Methodist Church and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Pittsburgh.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved a good martini and a fine cigar.
On April 21, 1951, he married Betty Smith, who died February 20, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Robert Smith Bobick (Ellen); a daughter, Paula K. Sims (David), both of Eighty-Four; four grandchildren, Joseph and John Hegedus, Danielle Sims Kearns (Tim) and April Sims; four great-grandchildren, Melanie Hegedus, Jackson Bobick Hegedus, Addison and Lucy Kearns.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, in Avery United Methodist Church, 1100 Gabby Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Ruth Simmons officiating.
