Jeanette Loraine Ankrom, 66, of Washington, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born April 2, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Alpheus Berl and Beulah Faye Leeper Hillberry.
Mrs. Ankrom was a 1964 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Penn Commercial.
She formerly worked at Ross Mould and GG&C.
Mrs. Ankrom was a member of Lone Pine Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
On June 19, 1983, she married Harry Ankrom, who died March 13, 2010.
Surviving are a son, Michael A. Riggle (Mila Jean) of Washington; a daughter, Tammy L. Dyer (Daniel) of Deland, Florida; stepchildren, Harry Ankrom (Karen), Carol S. Hewitt and Grace Bardella (Bill), all of Washington; two brothers, Larry Hillberry (Linda) of Amity and Berl “Sonny” Hillberry (Donna) of Washington; seven grandchildren, Anthony Dyer, Kaylee Vasquez, Courtney Dyer, Michael Riggle, Shayla Riggle, Zachary Riggle, and Chelsea Polewski; and several step grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Mark R. Riggle; a granddaughter, Adrianna Nicole Riggle; and two stepchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, October 11th, with Rev. Fred McCloskey officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
