Lloyd E. Swiger, 82, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Washington County Health Center.
He was born October 26, 1930, in Washington, a son of Perlie and Lillian Swiger.
Mr. Swiger graduated from Claysville High School in 1949 and worked for Bell of Pennsylvania for 32 years.
He was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church.
On November 17, 1990, he married Dolores Sasek, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael (Sandy) Swiger and Steven (Linda) Swiger, both of Winchester, Virginia; two step-sons, David (Carol) Mogentale of New York, New York, and Eric (Cindy) Mogentale of Chicago, Illinois; a step-daughter, Lettiann Mogentale-Betts of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Sara Wright, Becky Rothrock, Daniel Swiger, Adam Swiger and Emily Gerenski, all of Winchester, Virginia; four step grandchildren, Katie, Natalie, and Michael Mogentale and Nicholas Betts; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, John Swiger and Lowell Swiger, both of Greenville, South Carolina; and a sister, Joan Stevey of Dayton, Ohio.
Deceased is a sister, Nadine.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, with Pastor George Garancosky officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
