Arthur W. Jones, Jr.

Arthur W. Jones, Jr. 65, of Washington, died Sunday, November 25, 2012, in Donnell House. He was born June 6, 1947, in Charleroi, a son of Arthur W. and Sara Malie Jones. Mr. Jones was a graduate of Rostraver High School, in 1965, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. His hobbies were woodworking, fishing, playing the guitar, and camping. He worked at Foodland as a meat cutter. On July 18, 1970, he married June Shadel, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Beth Ann Jones, of Washington; and two sisters, Pattie (Miles) Kelley, of Belle Vernon, and Suzann (John) Irwin, of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in the Chapel at Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 South Main Street, Washington, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Donnell House, c/o Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, or American Cancer Society, 331 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
