Alan George Krugh, 83, of Canonsburg, formerly of Mt. Washington, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in his residence.
He was born May 20, 1929, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Robert and Frances Kalc Krugh.
Mr. Krugh was an asbestos worker for Local #2 and, since 1959, a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers.
He was a veteran of the Army, serving from March 21, 1951, until his honorable discharge on Feb. 27, 1953, with a rank of Sergeant. For his service, he was awarded the United National Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, and Army of Occupation Medal- Japan.
Mr. Krugh enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and fishing with his grandsons.
Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly (Todd) Jones of Claysville; a son, Daryl (Maggie) Krugh of Washington; two grandchildren, Hunter and Wyatt; and two sisters, Audrey Krugh and Doris Krugh, both of Pittsburgh.
Deceased are his wife, Lois Ann Krugh, who died July 31, 2011; and a brother, Robert Krugh.
Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Friday, December 7th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Burial in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be held at a later date.
