David "Popeye" Patterson

David Oscar “Popeye” Patterson, 83, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in Presbyterian Senior Care. He was born September 7, 1929, in Buffalo Village, a son of the late John T. and Dorothy W. McDonald Patterson. Mr. Patterson worked on the family’s dairy farm. He was Protestant. Surviving are a brother, John Patterson; a sister, Maxine Arbes, both of Washington; several great-nieces and great-nephews, John and Mary Patterson, Richie Arbes, Brad Arbes, and Marcie Rosenberg. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, December 14th. Burial will follow in Upper Buffalo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301, or to Fourth Presbyterian Church, 1000 Jefferson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
