Frances J. Zacour, 90, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012, in Donnell House.
She was born October 6, 1922, in Wyatt, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Felix and Grace Allawatt Romano.
Mrs. Zacour was a graduate of Washington High School and worked as a secretary at River Raisin and, for 20 years, worked as a secretary at Davidson Cable Company, from where she retired.
A member of St. Hilary Church, she enjoyed her monthly 500 card club, drinking coffee on her porch, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
On May 4, 1946, she married Albert J. Zacour, who died January 12, 1999.
Surviving are three sons, Richard (Patricia) Zacour, Charles (Valeta) Zacour, and Ronald (Regina) Zacour; a brother, Sam (Beverly) Romano; a sister, JoAnn (Mike) Kolycheck, all of Washington; three grandchildren, Anson Zacour, Kristina Zacour and Ashley (Anthony) Belcastro; a great-grandchild, A.J.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Theresa Urso; three brothers, Frank, Anthony and Dominick Romano; and a grandchild, James Albert Zacour.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, December 14th, in St. Hilary Church, with Father Thomas O’Neil as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
