At 5:30 PM on December 18th, at the age of 92, Pastor John DePolo departed this world and joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born in Cerenzia, Italy and raised in West Virginia, Pastor DePolo spent his early years in the coal mines of north central West Virginia. At the age of 32, he followed the call of the Lord and entered into the ministry. He humbly began his ministry performing home missionary work in Philippi, WV. As a full-time minister he led and pastored both the Christian Church of North America, in Canonsburg, PA, and the Christian Church of North America in Washington, PA. Ultimately, Reverend DePolo served the Lord as the senior pastor of the Christian Church of North America in Washington, for the next 39 years. He is survived by his wife, Doris Lindsey DePolo, after sharing 73 years of marriage, and by a loving family: son, Rev. Frank DePolo and wife Becky of Belle Vernon, PA; daughter, Brenda Kludo, wife of Dr. Ronald Kludo of Boca Raton, FL: grandchildren, Philip DePolo, of Canonsburg, PA; Jonathan DePolo and wife Janelle, of Las Vegas, NV; Dr. James Brent Morosco and Shannon of Chicago, IL; Larissa Morosco and husband Matthew Parkes of North Miami Beach, FL; and Heather DePolo of Pittsburgh, PA; great-grandchildren; Hunter DePolo and Dillon DePolo of San Diego, CA; and Lauren DePolo and Clark DePolo of Canonsburg, PA. Reverend Depolo tirelessly ministered and served the Lord with his wife Doris for nearly 50 years in north central West Virginia and western Pennsylvania, ultimately relocating to Boca Raton, FL to live out his last days. Visitation will be held at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301 on December 26th from 12-8pm.
