Alberta Coen Flynn

Alberta Coen Flynn, 85, of Washington, died on Friday, December 28, 2012, in the Washington Hospital. She was born on July 7, 1927, in St. Mary’s, WV., a daughter of Earl Day and Pearl Northrope Coen. Mrs. Flynn was a 1945 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, where she had been a cheerleader. She had worked for many years as a secretary for River Raisin Paper Company, and enjoyed travel, reading and dancing. On July 2, 1950, she married Francis P. Flynn, who survives. Also surviving are a brother, Earl L. Coen, of Canton, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, in the Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.
