Brenda Muncie Kraus

Brenda Muncie Kraus, 55, of Washington, died January 18, 2013, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a lengthy illness. She was born September 6, 1958, in Washington, a daughter of Donald A. Muncie of Brownsville and Janet Shober Zink of Washington. Mrs. Kraus was a graduate of Trinity High School and worked as a secretary at Continental Copper. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting and reading. Mrs. Kraus had attended Holy Rosary Church in Muse. Surviving, in addition to her mother and father, are a son, Daniel Christopher Kraus of Tempe, Arizona; two brothers, Donald Muncie and William (Tracy) Muncie, both of Washington; a sister, Sonja (Jim) Kowcheck of Washington; stepmother, Harriet Muncie of Brownsville; stepfather, Larry Zink of Washington; three stepsisters, Shelly Zink of Washington, Cynthia Durham of Summerville, South Carolina; and Julie (Alvaro) Castellanos of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews, Kevin, Jerrica, Janice, Jillian, Zachary, Colette, Maleia, Carley, Janelle, Austin and Mallorie. A Blessing Service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, January 23rd, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Father Thomas O’Neil officiating.
