Kathryn Lea Butera, 94, of Washington, died on Friday, January 18, 2013, at her residence. She was born on February 10, 1918, in Moundsville, WV, a daughter of the late Leonard and Lena Sockman Buckner. A homemaker, she was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church. On June 17, 1937, she married Charles H. Butera, who died on December 8, 1998. Surviving are 2 sons, Charles L. (Erica) Butera, of Pittsburgh and Ronald L. (Letitia) Butera, of Washington; 5 grandchildren, Charles R., Cindy L., Anthony M., and Justin M. Butera, and Major Tracy L. (John) Markle, of the U.S. Air Force; 5 great grandchildren, Kyle, Regan and Eraca Butera, Matthew Markle and GMSN Tyler Markle, who is currently serving on the USS Kersarge; and 2 great-great grandchildren, Alexis and Kayilynn Markle. Deceased are a grandchild, who died in infancy, a brother, Leonard, and a sister, Hazel. Friends will be received on Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m., the time of services, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell, PA 15068, will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Anyone planning to attend the burial service should meet at the cemetery chapel at 1:00 p.m.
