Ernest Paul Yuhasz, 84, of Prosperity, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, in Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington.
He was born December 12, 1928, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Paul and Ethel Popp Yuhasz.
Mr. Yuhasz worked as a shipper at Park Davis Medical Supply for 20 years and as a machinist at Consolidated Coal for 10 years.
He was a musician, playing the piano and accordion for 30 years with the Dawnaires Dance Band. He enjoyed woodworking.
Mr. Yuhasz was a veteran of the Army, serving from September 5, 1950, until his honorable discharge on April 26, 1952, with a rank of Sergeant. For his service he was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal – Germany.
On August 23, 1952, he married Catherine L. O’Toole, who died September 24, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna Kuzemka of Baldwin and Janet (Thomas) Coffield of Prosperity; a brother, Robert (Grace) Yuhasz of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Kristen (Dan Gray, Ryan (Grace) Coffield, Samantha (Kayla) Coffield and Megan (John) Brownlee; and great-grandchildren, Vannessa, Logan, Owen, Deserie and Rosey.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 24th.
