Alonzo W. “Lonnie” Hall, 72, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, January 20, 2013.
He was born July 27, 1940, in Washington, and had lived in Lorain since 1974.
Mr. Hall was employed by Ford Motor Co. in Avon, Ohio, for 29 years, retiring in 2002.
While living in Washington, he took great pride in working at Robert Gordon Funeral Home for 17 years.
Mr. Hall loved his family and loved to go bowling.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth J. “JoAnn” Anderson; his children, Alonzo “Little Lonnie” (Tracie) Hall of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Charles D. Hall of Lorain, Lynn (Eric) Janke of Kennesaw, Ga., and Jefferrey Hall of Lorain; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, plus another great-grandchild to be born; a brother, Weldon “Skip” (Georgeann) Hall of Northport, N.Y; and a sister, Katherine Ann Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hall and Katherine Hall Bagrich; and sisters Caroline “Cookie” Stoner and Judy Hall.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26.
Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
