Joanne Porter Douglass of Hickory died peacefully Sunday, January 27, 2013, in her home.
Born February 14, 1940, she was a beloved, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are sons Brett Douglass and Matt Douglass; grandchildren Toni Mirena, Hunter Douglass and Russell Douglass; and brother William J. Porter.
Deceased are sister Susan Porter York and mother Wilda Cowden Porter.
A private memorial service will be held for family at a later date.
