George Harold Reynard, 78, of Canonsburg, died January 25, 2013, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born February 10, 1934, a son of the late George M. and Marjorie Howard Reynard.
Mr. Reynard was a veteran of the Army, serving from September 5, 1950, until his honorable discharge on July 16, 1952, with a rank of Private, first class. He was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal – Germany.
Mr. Reynard worked in maintenance at the Washington Mall and retired from the Church of the Covenant in 1996.
He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Mr. Reynard was a lifelong member of Meadowlands United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Paul (Shirley) Reynard of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister, Ruth (Jack) Pilgun of Washington; a special nephew, Andrew Yelanich; nieces and a nephew in Missouri; two nephews in Indiana; and special friends, Bob and Regina, and Stephanie, Tera and Bernadette.
Deceased are two sisters, Shirley J. Reynard and Jane Nicholls.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 1st, in Meadowlands United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Debra D. Rogosky officiating.
