David Paul “Buzzy” Gregg, 74, of Hickory, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in his residence, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born August 30, 1938, in Washington, a son of the late Sherman C. and Naomi Campbell Gregg.
Mr. Gregg was a 1957 graduate of Washington High School. He worked for Bob Evans in sales for 20 years, was a self-employed bricklayer, and drove a school bus for Fort Cherry School District.
Mr. Gregg was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting. He was a player and coach for men’s softball in the Ten Mile League.
Mr. Gregg was a member of Hickory United Presbyterian Church.
On January 9, 1960, he married Bonnie D. Greer, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Dawn (Donald) Litman of Canonsburg, Luann Bonato and Paula (Bill) Randour, both of Washington; six grandchildren, Brooke Layhue, Logan Litman, Kassie Gordon, Timmy Gordon, Corey Randour and Jeremy Randour; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Bently, Brady and Xander.
Deceased are two brothers, Charles “Bud” Gregg and Melvin “Bo” Gregg; and a sister, Jean Robinson.
Friends will be received Sunday from Noon to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held in Hickory United Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 4th, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Ray Fosnight officiating.
